Amir made his dubut as a child artiste in 'Yaadon Ki Baraat' in 1973 directed by Nasir Hussain. he began his career with 'Holi' directed by Ketan Mehta in 1984. but his first wel known apperance was ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’ directed by his cousin Mansoor Khan. After his sercret marriage with his neighbourhood friend Reena in 1984, his career began to slow down. after several unsuccessfull movies, he made his come back with Indra Kumar's 'Dil' in 1990. Aamir, who is highly meticulous when it comes to signing movies, has delivered some of the best Bollywood hits like ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’, ‘Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke’, ‘Andaz Apna Apna’, ‘Rangeela’, ‘Raja Hindustani’ and ‘Ishq’. Aamir also; wrote the screenplay of ‘Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke’ that was produced by Dad Tahir Hussain and was directed by Mahesh Bhatt. The movie starred Aamir with Juhi Chawla. Aamir is the father of two kids Junaid and Aiara from first wife Reena. Aamir’s slow career caught some momentum with ‘Sarfarosh’ in 1999; he also won critical acclaim for his performance in Deepa Mehta’s ‘1947 Earth’.
In 2000, Aamir turned into a producer with his first venture-a period film ‘Lagaan’. The movie was a huge box-office hit and was also nominated for Academy Awards for the Best Foreign Language Film. Aamir had two big hits in 2001 ‘Lagaan’ and ‘Dil Chatha Hai’. Aamir took a sabbatical as was going through a lot of turmoil in his personal life; the actor was having a clandestine affair with a British journalist Jessica Hines which was responsible for his divorse in 2002. Aamir also has an illicit baby with Jessica named Jaan Hines who was born on September 14th 2003. After his break up with Jessica, the actor started dating his close friend Kiran Rao with whom he tied the knot on December 28th 2005.
Aamir Khan is probably the only actor in Bollywood who boycotts all award ceremonies as he feels that awards in India are rigged. Aamir Khan is one of the most intellect actors in the business and has given some of the biggest hits like ‘Rang De Basanti’ and ‘Fanaa’. Post ‘Rang De Basanti’, the actor has been extending support to a lot of social causes; Aamir strongly advocated for the cause of the farmer as part of the ‘Narmada Bachao Andolan’ which led to the ban of his movie ‘Fanaa’ in Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh. Aamir Khan endorses some big brands like Coke, Titan and Toyota Innova. This versatile actor believes in quality work and only works on one movie at a time so he can get into the guts
of his character; well, that also happens to be the reason why Aamir has acted in only 35 movies in a career spanning over 21 years.
