Shaukeen is an upcoming Bollywood comedy film directed by Abhishek Sharma and produced by Ashvini Yardi under Grazing Goat Pictures. The film features the trio of Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal and Anupam Kher in lead roles alongside Lisa Haydon and Akshay Kumar. The project will be a remake of the 1982 film of the same name directed by Basu Chatterjee, starring Ashok Kumar, Utpal Dutt, A. K. Hangal, Rati Agnihotri and Mithun Chakraborty.

Casting

Initially, Nargis Fakhri was signed for the film but then left the project for an unnamed Hollywood film.[6] After this, actress Lisa Haydon replaced her character and has now started filming. Actor Akshay Kumar has also been roped in to play the partner of Haydon's character, a role which Mithun Chakraborty had portrayed in the original film.
